The concert bands and jazz band are planning an out-of-state trip to Seattle, Washington this spring. The bands will be performing at the Music in the Parks Festival at Wild Waves amusement Park. The trip will also include fun activities such as the Space Needle, Experience Music Project, and the Zoo. The trip has been approved by the school board for May 20 – 22. This is a great opportunity for the band to participate in an educative regional festival, adjudicated by nationally known judges. These trips also provide the band students and program with bonding and growth activities. The cost of the trip is currently set at $350. I will not go over that amount. At the moment, the cost breakdown looks something like this: Transportation - $100 Hotel $75 Festival and WW $60 Food $50 Activities $65 ________________________ Total $350 In order to plan buses and festival tickets, an initial non-refundable payment of $50 will need to be received prior to Feb. 1. Parents are welcome and encouraged to participate. A basic payment schedule calendar would look like this: January 28 $50 Non-refundable February 26 $100 March 31 $100 April 29 $100 Please contact me if there are any problems with this payment schedule. Money is not an issue to not go. Let’s talk about it and make sure all of us will be there. Any questions? Contact me at [email protected] |
